Berenbaum developed the small but impactful exhibitions relating to the Holocaust that serve as the entry point to the Holocaust Center that is an integral part of the main campus library. Working with university staff, center directors, the university president and local architects, both exhibits position the Holocaust Center as a consecrated area of learning and offer visitor an opportunity for a brief encounter with the history and implications of the Holocaust before they enter the learning spaces.
